Media logistics information for Board of Regents meeting June 11, 2010
Reserved seating for media:
A capacity crowd is expected at the University of Nebraska Board of Regents meeting on June 11. Limited reserved seating is available for news media on the south side of the board room, lower level of Varner Hall, 3835 Holdrege St. in Lincoln, Neb. Additional seating in the public gallery also will be available.
Space will be provided on the north side of the board room for television cameras, and access to an audio mult box will be provided. Media must remain in the designated area and may not move behind the board table.
Media may enter Varner Hall through either the north or south doors and take the stairs down to the board room. Those who need an elevator may come to the reception area for assistance.
Nebraska Educational Telecommunications will provide a live broadcast-quality video/audio pool feed of the proceedings inside the board room that can be accessed by other media outlets on site or over satellite. The satellite feed will begin at 12:30 p.m. and the coordinates are:

No live feeds other than the pool feed being provided by NET will be permitted from inside Varner Hall. Stations may broadcast live from outside Varner Hall at their discretion.
Audio Only Feed:
An audio-only stream of the entire Board of Regents meeting, beginning with the committee meetings in the morning, will be available on the University's home page at www.nebraska.edu
beginning shortly before 9:30 a.m. and continuing throughout the day.
NET will provide a video/audio web stream of the afternoon meeting of the Board of Regents at www.netnebraska.org
. Streaming will begin at 12:45 p.m. and will continue for the full meeting. Any media outlet that wants to link to this site from their page is free to do so.
Parking is available in the lot behind Varner Hall, to the south. Limited space will be reserved for satellite trucks in the far south lot. Overflow parking is available in the patient parking area on the east side of the College of Dentistry, 40th and Holdrege, about a 5-minute walk from Varner Hall.
