University of Nebraska President James B. Milliken will visit high schools in Schuyler and Fremont on Monday, March 23, followed by a luncheon with community and business leaders. He will also tour the Fremont campus of Metro Community College.

At the high schools, he will talk to students about Collegebound Nebraska, the university’s tuition assistance program, as well as the benefits and opportunities of higher education. Milliken is a native of Fremont and a graduate of Fremont Senior High School.

President Milliken's schedule is as follows:

8:30 a.m. convocation at Schuyler High School

9:45 a.m. convocation at Fremont Senior High School

Student speaker: Leslie Darling, junior at UNO, graduate of FSHS

10:15 a.m. visit FSHS honors classes

12:00 noon business leaders luncheon J's steakhouse, 406 North Main Street

1:30 p.m. visit Metro Community College, Fremont campus, 835 N. Broad St.
