The University of Nebraska announced today that online education at NU’s distance learning platform, Online Worldwide, grew nearly 30 percent last year – a trend that coincides with new national data showing rapid growth in college students’ interest in online learning.

Members of the media are invited to the sixth annual Nebraska Research and Innovation Conference, to be held tomorrow at the Cornhusker Marriott Hotel, 333 S. 13th St. More than 460 people have registered for the conference, sponsored by the University of Nebraska, Nebraska EPSCoR and the National Science Foundation. The theme of the conference is renewable energy.
