Nebraska Research and Innovation Conference is Tomorrow
Members of the media are invited to the sixth annual Nebraska Research and Innovation Conference, to be held tomorrow at the Cornhusker Marriott Hotel, 333 S. 13th St. More than 460 people have registered for the conference, sponsored by the University of Nebraska, Nebraska EPSCoR and the National Science Foundation. The theme of the conference is renewable energy.

President Milliken announces 2010-2011 Presidential Graduate Fellows
University of Nebraska President James B. Milliken has announced the eight recipients of 2010-2011 Presidential Graduate Fellowships. These prestigious fellowships honor NU graduate students – four at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, two at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and two at the University of Nebraska Medical Center – on the basis of high scholastic performance, personal accomplishment and innovative research projects.

NU Board Of Regents To Meet September 10
The University of Nebraska Board of Regents will meet Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at Varner Hall, 3835 Holdrege St. in Lincoln. Committee meetings begin at 9 a.m. and the Board meeting begins at 1 p.m. All meeting are open to the public. Meetings also will be audio-streamed live at www.nebraska.edu.

University of Nebraska enrollment grows to highest total in 17 years
University of Nebraska President James B. Milliken announced today that NU’s enrollment has reached its highest total in 17 years, with growth seen on all four campuses and in the key groups of undergraduates and first-time freshmen. Undergraduate enrollment rose 2.7 percent, far exceeding the 1.5 percent annual growth metric set by the Board of Regents, Milliken said.

NU Board of Regents to Meet August 17
The University of Nebraska Board of Regents will meet Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at 3 p.m. via videoconference at two locations: Varner Hall, 3835 Holdrege St. in Lincoln; and Eppley Administration Building Room 200, 6001 Dodge St. on the University of Nebraska at Omaha campus. Members of the public and media are welcome to attend the meeting at either location. The brief meeting also will be audio-streamed live at www.nebraska.edu.

University of Nebraska releases 2010-2011 operating budget
University of Nebraska President James B. Milliken today released details of the university’s proposed 2010-2011 operating budget, which will go before the Board of Regents for consideration on June 11.
Milliken said the operating budget reflects prudence during difficult economic times, and preparation for the challenging biennium ahead. |

All of the University of Nebraska's online education programs can now be accessed at a single location thanks to the University's introduction of a new Web platform called Online Worldwide.
Online Worldwide – www.nebraska.edu/online – offers more than 80 accredited programs, including bachelor's and advanced degrees as well as certificates and endorsements, and more than 1,000 courses in a wide range of fields, including agriculture, biology, business, computer science, education, engineering, journalism, public administration and many more. |

Ronnie Green Selected As New IANR Vice Chancellor, VP
