On March 22, 2010, University of Nebraska President James B. Milliken was interviewed by Strategic Discussions for Nebraska, a collaborative research initiative based in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications.

President Milliken discussed two critical topics: the mission of land-grant universities, and the importance of Innovation Campus, the research and development campus taking shape in Lincoln.

Strategic Discussions for Nebraska collects, publishes and disseminates information on issues relevant to the economy and culture of Nebraska and Nebraskans. Its purpose is to inform Nebraskans about issues affecting the state and its residents, and to promote discussions among regional and opinion leaders. Past projects have focused on Nebraska's economic future and immigration in Nebraska.
