Office of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity
Dixie never misses an opportunity to contribute her talents when needed. For example, with the departure of UNK's Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity director, Dixie pitched in to make sure the efficiency of the office was maintained during the search process with only minimal support from the temporary acting director.
And last summer, when the director of UNK's dual-career program was on vacation, Dixie continued to pursue opportunities for accompanying partners with local businesses. She also spent time with each partner and developed an understanding of his or her background and skills so she could assure prospective employers that UNK had the people who could meet their needs.
