Kim coordinates the telecommunications needs of 23 buildings on the UNMC campus. Included in that number are the Lied Transplant Center, the College of Nursing, and the Durham Outpatient Center - each of which is a big job by itself.

Kim goes out of her way to serve her clients, by setting up new telephone services, relocating exiting phones, or reprogramming them with new features. There is no secret to good customer service, she says, "I just treat my customers the way I would like to be treated." She says good service includes responding quickly to customers, answering every e-mail and voice mail message promptly, following up on projects to eliminate loose ends, and anticipating what might go wrong and preventing problems.
