Office of Admissions and Students in the College of Medicine
Sue says she didn’t plan to stay long at UNMC when she began working there in 1970, but her parents said she had to pay for her new Plymouth Duster herself. The car is gone, but Sue remains committed to UNMC after 33 years.
Her responsibilities include scheduling clinical rotations for junior and senior medical students, staffing the College’s Curriculum, Scholarship, and Scholastic Evaluation Committees, development of the Dean’s letter - which is the official letter of recommendation for a student’s residency placement - and organizing the fall orientation for first-year students. She also serves as liaison to the National Resident Matching Program and the National Board of Medical Examiners
