The University Relations staff is continuously involved in major projects, including commencements, meetings of the Chancellor’s Advisory Committee, honors breakfasts, the Blue/Gold back-to-school welcome – and even a visit by President Bill Clinton. Most recently, considerable time and attention were devoted to the installation ceremonies for Chancellor Doug Kristensen.

Karen is the crucial link between the planning process and the actual accomplishment of special events. She provides the follow-up and the liaison with other campus departments who are involved in the respective events. She is friendly and cooperative, but also unstinting in her commitment to getting each job done right
