Doug began studying personal communication styles several years ago, when a colleague asked him to help develop better interpersonal skills among a group of resident physicians. He devoted serious study to the subject and concluded that each person tends to respond differently to any given behavior B but all of us can learn to improve our interpersonal effectiveness.

Doug now holds workshops for UNMC residents as well as faculty and staff to train them in better interpersonal understanding and versatility
