Joyce consistently demonstrates excellent performance and shows a special affinity for using technology to provide access to library materials. For example, Joyce was instrumental in the UNL libraries becoming a part of RAPID, a nationwide consortium of research libraries that provide journal articles within 24 hours of a request.

Joyce also is deeply involved in InfoQuest, the on-campus intra-library delivery system. Last year, she took the lead in converting this service from paper-based record-keeping to electronic processing
