Frank’s knowledge of radiation safety make him one of UNMC’s best resources. He has worked diligently to provide information about the safe application of radiation therapies to protect both patients and the health care workers.
Frank has also helped to develop a landmark patient-release program that allows patients to receive radioactive therapies on an outpatient basis. Patients can go home and follow specific instructions to keep radiation exposures to their families and caregivers at a minimum. This procedure has reduced medical expenses as well as decreasing radiation exposure to health care workers.
