This KUDOS award goes to the Aviation Institute at the University of Nebraska at Omaha for their continued work with the NASA Nebraska Space Grant program and the Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research. Nebraska currently receives the greatest amount of funding nationally from NASA for these two programs, exceeding $2.4 million (with match) on an annual basis.
The NASA Nebraska Space Grant Consortium, which deals with helping Native American on a variety on land-use issues, earned the highest possible ranking during its 15-year program evaluation and a 5-year extension. This success closely parallels receiving the highest ranking for its consortium class five earlier in the national program’s 10-year review.
Shortly after the Space Grant announcement was made the Aviation Institute learned that NASA Nebraska Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research at UNO would also be extended another two years.
