This KUDOS award goes to the Center for Economic Education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s College of Education and Business Administration. The Center spans two UNO colleges and is comprised of only three individuals.
The center partnered with Conestoga Elementary School and others to develop the Conestoga Magnet School in economics and math, which worked with teachers to write the economics curriculum and “bank at school” curriculum.
Their website is a national depository for economics education information and has earned awards and national recognition. From August to September alone the site got an average of over 17,400 hits per day!
The center competed for and won nine grants and is currently working with Ukraine and Kazakhstan to build strong economies through exchange efforts and seminars.
