This KUDOS award recognizes Jane E. Christensen, Associate Director of the Honors Program at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She is also an instructor in the Department of English where she teaches courses in composition, writing and literature.
As the Associate Director of the honors program Jane advises more than 150 students. In addition she assists with student recruitment and the selection of scholarship recipients; collaborates with the Office of Admissions in coordinating Honors Program events; coordinates Campus Connections, an Honors Program mentorship for incoming students; finalizes Annual Program reviews, Assessment Plans and Reports, and strategic plans; and maintain the Honors Senior Study Archive.
Jane says she takes pride in working with UNK’s best and brightest scholars and continues to communicate with many former students who have become friends.
