Instructional Tech Design Specialist, UNL

Suzanne Becking has been with UNL’s Office of Extended Education & Outreach as an Instructional Design Technology Specialist for five years. She is one of three instructional designers supporting distance education in the College of Education and Human Sciences.

Faculty appreciate Suzie’s talents, expertise, professionalism and willingness to go beyond the expected to find solutions to problems. They also comment on the value she adds to their courses with her ideas on how to improve design, technology usage or other aspects unique to distance courses, and her professionalism and positive attitude.

For two summers Suzie has successfully led the Summer Institute for Online Teaching, a five week blended online and face-to-face faculty development effort involving UNL and UNK as well as Instructional Technology Group and Extended Education & Outreach. Suzie has also shown outstanding commitment to her own professional development. This semester, she will finish a Masters degree in Instructional Technology from UNL’s Department of Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education. She has also been accepted for the highly competitive doctoral program in Educational Administration, where she intends to focus on technology administration and leadership.
