verbal, writing and analytical skills have helped faculty members to establish collaborations within and outside of UNMC. They also enable her to work well with all individuals, possessing a wide variety of technical and interpersonal skills.”

Nominator and former chair, Judith Christman, Ph.D., (christ’‐mon) notes that Amy’s other contributions include the continuing training of staff as well as the change from paper to electronic grant submission. According to faculty member Dr. Richard MacDonald, “During my tenure at UNMC, the grant applications have tripled. Amy had the vision and wisdom to see that she would need to focus the majority of her time on grants. She achieved that by reorganizing the department and training the staff. The increase in grant funding and administration of it would not have been feasible if Amy had not been familiar with the electronic submission process and with the specific requirements of the funding agencies.”
