A member of UNK’s staff since April of 2003, Michael serves as the
Workstation Support Specialist for the Division of Business and
Finance. Colleagues describe him as talented, hard‐working, polite,
innovative, and prompt in responding to requests. His broad range
of responsibilities include developing drawings for campus
remodeling projects; administering Department of Facilities
software and providing hardware and software assistance to
departments within the division of Business and Finance; producing
specialized campus maps, charts and graphs; maintaining UNK’s
space inventory; overseeing electronic door access throughout
campus; supporting and maintaining the Facilities computer
inventory; and maintaining the Facilities work order management
system. “All of this,” says his supervisor, Director of Facilities Lee
McQueen, “he does with skill, professionalism and with a
wonderfully positive personality.”
Michael’s most recent accomplishments include the completion of a
campus‐wide inventory of spaces as well as assisting with
implementation of both the computerized maintenance
management system for facilities and the CBord electronic door
access systems. Among his on‐going projects is UNK’s new Voice‐
Over‐Fire‐Alarm System.
Thank you, Michael, for your exceptional work. The University of
Nebraska is pleased to recognize you for your important
contributions to the University community.
