And at this time of the year, he’s been particularly busy making sure all of the equipment is ready for snow removal at UNO.
In a nomination for the Employee of the Month award, one nominator said of Dan, “He has the ability to fix just about any type of equipment. He maintains and repairs all types of equipment from small two-cycle engines to large dump trucks. Dan also will trouble shoot and repair other state-owned vehicles and the cost savings is in the tens of thousands of dollars. Dan has re-figured vehicles to make them useful University equipment, such as an older truck now used to spread liquid deicer. All of this was done at a very small cost or no cost to the University.”
For his part, Dan says, “I like to work. It makes time go by.”
