Glen will retire this spring after working 45 years for UNL. His duties include providing strategic leadership and direction in the management, planning and operations of all University Housing facilities. This position is responsible for maintenance and repair of housing facilities, equipment and related building systems; housing custodial, pest management and landscape services; and oversight and supervision of all new major construction and renovation projects.

Housing facilities include about 25 residential and dining halls and multiple family units comprising 2 million square feet. Glen is also responsible for all activities in UNL’s family housing (151 apartments).
Glen first served as a Resident Assistant and Graduate Assistant in Abel Hall. He was then hired as a full-time, live-in Resident Director with subsequent promotions including Assistant Director for Administration. He also has served as Interim Housing Director.
His supervisor, Sue Gildersleeve, said, “Glen’s contributions to UNL and to Housing extend far beyond Housing’s physical facilities. We are so fortunate that Glen chose to spend his working career at University Housing, and will miss him in so many ways and for so many reasons.”
