Sustainable Design Policy

The Office of Facilities Planning & Management has eight primary system-wide responsibilities:
  1. Coordination and direction of long-range studies, master plans and physical facility plans.
  2. Development of policies and procedures relating to capital facilities.
  3. Preparation of the University's biennial capital construction budget request for the Nebraska Legislature.
  4. Review and approval of construction documents for Board of Regents approved projects.
  5. Coordination of the Project Review Board.
  6. Administration of the University's architect and engineering selection policies and contracts.
  7. Primary contact for facility issues with the Legislative Fiscal Office, Legislative Building Maintenance Committee, Department of Administrative Services, and the Nebraska Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education.
  8. Development and implementation of facilities initiatives.
